Instagram has introduced a whole raft of new tools<\/strong> for controlling who can comment on your posts. This is great news for anybody who only wants to share their posts with people they\u2019re close to. We\u2019ll go over these instructions soon but for now we\u2019re going to look at turning off comments completely.<\/strong> If you\u2019re posting for your own satisfaction, why should an inappropriate comment from some anonymous troll ruin things.<\/p>\n

How to Stop People Commenting on Your Instagram Posts<\/h2>\n

\"\"1. Go to Advanced Settings<\/h3>\n

Once you have your image, either one you\u2019ve just taken or one from your gallery, and you’re ready to post you\u2019ll find yourself at the first stage Instagram menu.<\/p>\n

At the bottom of the menu you\u2019ll see the \u201cAdvanced Settings<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n

This is what you want to click.<\/p>\n

2. Turn Off Commenting<\/h3>\n

The Advanced Settings menu is pretty simple. It only has the single \u201cTurn Off Commenting<\/strong>\u201d toggle switch. Click this to on and<\/p>\n

nobody will be able to comment on your Instagram posts. This option only works on a per post basis, however, so<\/p>\n

we\u2019ll quickly go over how to Turn Off Commenting for older posts.<\/strong><\/p>\n

3. Select the Post You Want and Click the 3 Dots at the Top of the Post<\/h3>\n

This works for any post that you don\u2019t want people commenting on.<\/p>\n

All you have to do is go through all of your old posts and select the post that youd on’t want people commenting on.<\/p>\n

Then, click on the 3 dots<\/strong> icon that is found in the top right hand corner.<\/p>\n

This\u2019ll open the Settings Menu<\/strong> for that particular post.<\/p>\n

4. Turn Off Commenting<\/h3>\n

Once this menu is open all you have to do is select Turn Off Commenting<\/strong> and you\u2019re safe from internet trolls.<\/p>\n
