Since Google updated the Android operating system to the Marshmallow version – this was a few years ago – the general trend has been the same: <\/span>the user can see permissions granted <\/b>within the apps.<\/span> It was one of the most demanded requests from the community and Google didn\u2019t hesitate to provide it (and didn’t take it out of later versions). <\/span><\/p>\n

To see app permissions, just go to the gear icon of your smartphone, i.e., <\/span>Settings<\/b>\u00a0and click\u00a0<\/span>Applications.<\/b>\u00a0Here, a list of all the programs you\u2019ve installed on your cell phone will open, so it\u2019s a simple matter of seeing those you want. Is Facebook accessing more data than you thought? Well, manually adjust the permissions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Go to the app, and you\u2019ll see <\/span>Uninstall<\/b><\/span>, <\/span>F<\/b><\/span>orce stop<\/b>, Storage<\/b>, Data usage<\/b>, and a long list of other options. However, the one we want is called \u201cPermissions.<\/b> If you click there, the system will reveal what features are intruding on your privacy.<\/p>\n

As a general rule, it\u2019s typical to make use of popular features such as camera, contacts, calendar, location, storage, etc. The button that appears on the right-hand side is what you need to <\/span>enable or disable <\/b>them. If it\u2019s green, that means it has access; if it\u2019s grey, it doesn\u2019t. Easy peasy.<\/span><\/p>\n
