As we\u2019ve mentioned before, the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>\u201cpanic button\u201d<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> is an option that Google developers introduced in the Android Nougat for when your cell phone isn\u2019t responding as you\u2019d like. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This can happen for several reasons: ad pages open in the browser as we\u2019ve noted; an app has gotten control of the device without permission; some program isn\u2019t working correctly and got stuck, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The idea of the \u201cpanic button\u201d is, as the name suggests, <\/span><b>so we don\u2019t start to panic<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. So, the first requirement to be able to use this \u201cbutton\u201d is, of course, to <\/span><b>have this version of Android or above.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If you fulfill that requirement, enabling the \u201cpanic button\u201d is so easy it\u2019s scary. In fact, you\u2019ve probably done it at some point: <\/span><b>you just have to click repeatedly on the back button<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (more than <\/span><b>four times in three seconds<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, which seems like a lot but isn\u2019t really). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After clicking, Android will take you to the <\/span><b>start screen<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. In fact, all the processes running will <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>stop\u00a0<\/b><\/span><b>automatically<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, and you can uninstall that app with malware, close the problematic browser or see what\u2019s going wrong.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Now that you know how to enable this <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>\u201cpanic button,\u201d<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> we urge you to use it every time you think there\u2019s an emergency on your device.
