One of the best updates to Windows 10 is that it now has a <\/span>powerful notification center<\/b>. Like a cell phone, this operating system for PCs makes comprehensive analyses of everything on your computer. Thanks to this, you can configure basic processes every day using notifications. Now, if these messages annoy you <\/span>– as in our case – we\u2019re going to show you <\/span>how to turn off Windows 10 notifications. <\/b><\/p>\n

Simple as can be<\/b><\/h2>\n

The first thing to keep straight is that notifications are located on the <\/span>lower right. <\/b>If you click on the specific icon, you\u2019ll see a menu open with a large number of available options. Using our experience as an example, we chose <\/span>\u201cQuiet hours\u201d<\/b> within the notifications. This way, we made sure there were no notifications at night. It\u2019s like the \u201cNight mode\u201d that smartphones have, but for PCs.<\/span><\/p>\n

This may be the easiest way to prevent notifications; though it doesn\u2019t turn them off, of course. If you want to do this, you have to click on the Windows key or \u201c<\/span>Start<\/b>,\u201d then \u201c<\/span>Settings<\/b>,\u201d go to \u201c<\/span>System<\/b>\u201d and click on \u201c<\/span>Notifications and actions<\/b>\u201d (Start -> Settings -> System -> Notifications and actions).<\/span><\/p>\n

Once you\u2019re inside Notifications, turn off those settings that annoy you (though our advice is that if you really want to get rid of them, <\/span>uncheck all of them<\/b>). So, uncheck the buttons \u201cGet notifications from apps and other senders,\u201d \u201cShow notifications on the lock screen\u201d and \u201cShow reminders and incoming VoIP calls on the lock screen.\u201d Once you’ve done this, your PC will be free from any notifications for the rest of its existence.<\/span><\/p>\n

Remember that you decide what you want to see on your computer. Take advantage of this if you\u2019re unsure about turning off all notifications for your PC.<\/span><\/p>\n
