El <a href=\"https:\/\/www.softonic.com\/articulos\/los-tres-hermanos-pequenos-del-curiosity-rover-se-preparan-para-explorar-la-luna\">rover lunar<\/a> de China, <strong>Yutu-2<\/strong>, ha descubierto unas <strong>estructuras ocultas<\/strong> bajo la superficie de la Luna que han impresionado a la comunidad cient\u00edfica. El rover Yutu-2 realiz\u00f3 el largo viaje a la Luna en 2018, a bordo de la nave <strong>Chang&#8217;e-4<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Seg\u00fan detalla <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.space.com\/china-moon-rover-maps-hidden-structures\">Space.com<\/a><\/strong>, el Yutu-2 es capaz de enviar se\u00f1ales de radio que penetran a trav\u00e9s de la superficie lunar mediante una herramienta llamada <strong>Radar de Penetraci\u00f3n Lunar<\/strong> (o LPR, de sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s). &#8220;Luego, escucha los ecos que bailan de vuelta&#8221;, explic\u00f3 a Live Science <strong>Jianqing Feng<\/strong>, investigador astrogeol\u00f3gico del Instituto de Ciencias Planetarias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Una vez recogidos los \u201cecos\u201d, los cient\u00edficos pueden <strong>reconstruir d\u00f3nde rebotaron las ondas de radio<\/strong> en las estructuras subterr\u00e1neas, de forma similar a la <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ecolocalizaci%C3%B3n\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">ecolocalizaci\u00f3n<\/a> de los murci\u00e9lagos. Esta ha sido la primera vez que los cient\u00edficos utilizan el LPR para penetrar m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de los primeros 40 metros de la superficie lunar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"China&#039;s Yutu-2 rover captures new images of moon&#039;s far side\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/cbi7jlIlkeI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Los nuevos datos recogidos en este estudio demuestran que la superficie de la Luna est\u00e1 formada por capas de rocas rotas, entre las que se esconden <strong>cinco capas de lava lunar<\/strong>. Los cient\u00edficos creen que esta lava pudo ser el producto del <a href=\"https:\/\/www.softonic.com\/articulos\/mas-alla-cometa-verde-hay-mas-cometas-asteroides-cerca-tierra\">impacto de asteroides<\/a> que se estrellaron contra la Luna (lo cual tambi\u00e9n explicar\u00eda la existencia de los <strong>famosos cr\u00e1teres lunares<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Una hip\u00f3tesis muy extendida en la comunidad cient\u00edfica es que <strong>la Luna form\u00f3 parte de la Tierra<\/strong>, pero se separ\u00f3 cuando un cuerpo celeste choc\u00f3 contra el planeta hace 4.510 millones de a\u00f1os.
