Posteriormente, WISE entr\u00f3 en hibernaci\u00f3n en febrero de 2011.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Despu\u00e9s de casi tres a\u00f1os flotando sin ning\u00fan prop\u00f3sito, el telescopio recibi\u00f3 una segunda vida.<\/strong> En diciembre de 2013, la NASA reasign\u00f3 la misi\u00f3n a la observaci\u00f3n de objetos cercanos a la Tierra, ayudando as\u00ed a proteger nuestro planeta de posibles amenazas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Durante los \u00faltimos 10 a\u00f1os de servicio, <strong>NEOWISE escane\u00f3 el cielo entero m\u00e1s de 20 veces y realiz\u00f3 1,45 millones de mediciones infrarrojas de m\u00e1s de 44.000 objetos del sistema solar<\/strong>, seg\u00fan la NASA.
