A diferencia del Internet convencional, que transmite datos mediante luz, las redes cu\u00e1nticas utilizan fotones entrelazados cu\u00e1nticamente. Sin embargo, para evitar que los fotones se dispersen a largas distancias, <strong>son necesarios repetidores especiales que mantengan el entrelazamiento sin alterar la informaci\u00f3n<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En su <a href=\"https:\/\/aws.amazon.com\/es\/blogs\/quantum-computing\/delivering-quantum-information-a-field-deployed-quantum-network\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">investigaci\u00f3n<\/a>, Harvard y AWS utilizaron <strong>nodos experimentales con cavidades en diamantes<\/strong> que \u201catrapan la luz y la obligan a interactuar con memorias cu\u00e1nticas\u201d, fabricados con tecnolog\u00eda de nanofabricaci\u00f3n existente. Durante los experimentos, se envi\u00f3 un qubit codificado en un fot\u00f3n a una memoria cu\u00e1ntica en un laboratorio de Harvard. El fot\u00f3n recorri\u00f3 la red de fibra subterr\u00e1nea, regres\u00f3 a Harvard, y se reconvirti\u00f3 a su frecuencia original. Despu\u00e9s, el fot\u00f3n interactu\u00f3 con otra memoria <a href=\"https:\/\/www.softonic.com\/articulos\/alibaba-abandona-la-computacion-cuantica\">cu\u00e1ntica<\/a> en un laboratorio diferente, transfiriendo el entrelazamiento y permitiendo que el fot\u00f3n, tras rebotar en la segunda memoria, <strong>fuese detectado sin revelar la informaci\u00f3n cu\u00e1ntica subyacente<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Los experimentos iniciales mostraron que <strong>el fot\u00f3n entrelazado cu\u00e1nticamente viaj\u00f3 m\u00e1s de 35 kil\u00f3metros<\/strong> y se almacen\u00f3 por m\u00e1s de un segundo, tiempo suficiente para que la luz recorriera m\u00e1s de <strong>300.000 kil\u00f3metros<\/strong>.
