Une partie de cette mati\u00e8re est \u00e9ject\u00e9e en un jet collimat\u00e9 magn\u00e9tiquement, cr\u00e9ant une intense lueur lorsqu&#8217;elle est observ\u00e9e de face, connue sous le nom de <strong>blazar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les observations de la galaxie OJ 287, l&#8217;un des exemples de blazar les plus proches, datent de la fin du XIXe si\u00e8cle et sont <strong>visibles avec un simple t\u00e9lescope d&#8217;amateur<\/strong>. Tous les 12 ans, la luminosit\u00e9 d&#8217;OJ 287 s&#8217;intensifie, un ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne que <strong>Pauli Pihajoki<\/strong>, doctorant \u00e0 l&#8217;Universit\u00e9 de Turku, a attribu\u00e9 en 2014 \u00e0 la pr\u00e9sence d&#8217;un second trou noir moins massif en orbite autour du primaire sur une orbite allong\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pihajoki a \u00e9galement sugg\u00e9r\u00e9 que <strong>le trou noir secondaire pourrait voler une partie de la mati\u00e8re du disque d&#8217;accr\u00e9tion du primaire <\/strong>et produire son propre jet de quasar pendant une courte p\u00e9riode. Cette pr\u00e9diction s&#8217;est finalement confirm\u00e9e le 12 novembre 2021, lorsque TESS a d\u00e9tect\u00e9 une augmentation de la luminosit\u00e9 d&#8217;OJ 287, accompagn\u00e9e d&#8217;observations des t\u00e9lescopes \u00e0 rayons gamma Swift et Fermi de la NASA. \u00ab\u00a0Nous pouvons maintenant dire que nous avons &#8216;vu&#8217; pour la premi\u00e8re fois un trou noir en orbite \u00bb, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.utu.fi\/en\/news\/press-release\/nasas-planet-hunter-satellite-observes-smaller-object-in-a-black-hole-pair\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">a d\u00e9clar\u00e9<\/a> <strong>Mauri Valtonen<\/strong>, de l&#8217;Universit\u00e9 de Turku.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/sft\/articles\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/Fusion-agujeros-negros-supermasivos.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-303425\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Les observations ont \u00e9galement confirm\u00e9 que le <strong>trou noir primaire a une masse de 18,35 milliards de masses solaires<\/strong> (1 masse solaire \u00e9quivaut \u00e0 332 946 fois la masse de la Terre), tandis que le secondaire, beaucoup plus petit, a \u00ab\u00a0seulement \u00bb 150 millions de masses solaires. De plus, il est \u00e9tabli que <strong>l&#8217;\u00e9v\u00e9nement a produit autant d&#8217;\u00e9nergie que 100 galaxies moyennes en 12 heures<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Selon<strong> Achamveedu Gopakumar<\/strong>, de l&#8217;Institut Tata de Recherche Fondamentale en Inde, le plus petit trou noir pourrait <strong>r\u00e9v\u00e9ler son existence \u00e0 travers des ondes gravitationnelles nano-Hertz<\/strong>, qui pourraient \u00eatre d\u00e9tect\u00e9es par des syst\u00e8mes de chronom\u00e9trage de pulsars dans les prochaines ann\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les fusions entre trous noirs supermassifs, qui \u00e9mettent des ondes gravitationnelles, sont un facteur cl\u00e9 de leur croissance.
