Ils expliquent comment cette technique <strong>n&#8217;exige ni l&#8217;installation de malware<\/strong> ni l&#8217;observation du trafic r\u00e9seau par une attaque de type \u00ab man-in-the-middle \u00bb. Il n&#8217;est m\u00eame pas n\u00e9cessaire que l&#8217;attaquant soit physiquement proche pour surveiller les paquets Wi-Fi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SnailLoad exploite les \u00ab subtiles variations des temps de trajet aller-retour des paquets r\u00e9seau \u00bb, qui contiennent une empreinte influenc\u00e9e par l&#8217;activit\u00e9 de la victime. En faisant t\u00e9l\u00e9charger un petit fichier \u00e0 l&#8217;utilisateur, <strong>l&#8217;attaquant peut mesurer la latence et les changements de vitesse de connexion pour d\u00e9duire l&#8217;activit\u00e9 de l&#8217;utilisateur<\/strong>. Ce nom provient de <strong>la lenteur du t\u00e9l\u00e9chargement<\/strong>, compar\u00e9e \u00e0 celle d&#8217;un escargot. \u00ab Outre sa lenteur, SnailLoad, comme un escargot, laisse des traces et est un peu effrayant \u00bb, expliquent les chercheurs.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/sft\/articles\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/2\/2024\/06\/Funcionamiento-SnailLoad.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-334937\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L&#8217;attaque est <strong>totalement passive et se fait \u00e0 distance<\/strong> et peut d\u00e9terminer avec pr\u00e9cision ce que l&#8217;utilisateur visionne ou fait sur le web. <strong>La seule mani\u00e8re de la contrecarrer est de d\u00e9grader la connexion internet<\/strong>, ce que la plupart des utilisateurs ne feraient pas.
