Face \u00e0 l’abandon de Windows XP<\/strong> par Microsoft<\/strong>, plusieurs d\u00e9veloppeurs pr\u00e9parent actuellement une nouvelle mise \u00e0 jour de s\u00e9curit\u00e9<\/strong> destin\u00e9e aux millions de personnes qui continuent d’utiliser le vieux syst\u00e8me d’exploitation. Bref, en d’autres termes, un Service Pack 4 non officiel.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Le 8 avril 2014, Microsoft\u00a0a cess\u00e9 d\u2019\u00eatre compatible avec Windows XP<\/a>. En pratique, cela signifie qu\u2019il n\u2019y a plus de mises \u00e0 jour pour XP ni de patchs de s\u00e9curit\u00e9.<\/p>\n

C’est pourquoi des d\u00e9veloppeurs, comme Harkaz, ont pris le probl\u00e8me \u00e0 bras le corps. Depuis septembre 2013, ils travaillent sur un Service Pack 4 officieux disponible pour les ordinateurs ayant au minimum Windows XP SP1 (x86).<\/p>\n

Une troisi\u00e8me b\u00eata de ce SP4 maison a \u00e9t\u00e9 lanc\u00e9e afin d’\u00eatre test\u00e9e et avoir des retours. Ce pack comprend notamment des mises \u00e0 jour pour Windows XP Media Center Edition et Tablet PC <\/strong>avec .NET Frameworks.<\/p>\n

Enfin, plus important, la mise \u00e0 jour change la base de registre du syst\u00e8me<\/strong> pour faire b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier des mises \u00e0 jour encore d\u00e9ploy\u00e9es par Microsoft pour certaines \u00e9ditions de Windows XP (Windows Embedded et Windows Server 2003).<\/p>\n

Bien entendu, Microsoft ne recommande pas d’installer ces mises \u00e0 jour. Cependant, pour de nombreux utilisateurs, elles pourraient s’av\u00e9rer tr\u00e8s utiles.<\/p>\n
