Con l’update a Windows 8.1<\/a>, \u00e8 arrivata l’ultima versione del browser di Microsoft: Internet Explorer 11. Recentemente rilasciato anche su Windows 7<\/a><\/strong> in versione Developer preview, secondo l’azienda di Redmond garantisce ottime prestazioni in termini di rendimento.<\/p>\n

Il test<\/h3>\n

Qui a Softonic siamo un po’ scettici, o quantomeno tendiamo a fare affidamento pi\u00f9 sui dati che sulle parole. Abbiamo quindi messo alla prova Internet Explorer 11,\u00a0Chrome 28,\u00a0Firefox 22 e Opera 15<\/strong>, per determinare quale \u00e8 il pi\u00f9 veloce.<\/p>\n

Per la prova di velocit\u00e0 ci siamo affidati a CanvasMark 2013<\/a>, dato che Peacekeeper<\/a>, la pagina sulla quale facciamo normalmente affidamento per questi tipi di test, utilizza anche la WebGL<\/a>, una libreria grafica ancora non supportata dalla versione di Internet Explorer 11 per Windows 8.1.<\/p>\n

Il risultato<\/h3>\n

Contro ogni aspettativa, \u00e8 Internet Explorer 11 a spuntarla su tutti<\/strong>, anche sul tanto osannato Google Chrome, che si piazza solo terzo, alle spalle di Firefox, saldo al secondo gradino del podio. A sorpresa, e nonostante una versione nuova di zecca basata su Chromium<\/a>, \u00e8 Opera a essere il pi\u00f9 lento dei quattro.<\/p>\n

In ogni caso, questo test \u00e8 da “prendere con le pinze”. Per un risultato pi\u00f9 affidabile aspettiamo la versione finale di Windows 8.1<\/strong>, che includer\u00e0 anche un Internet Explorer stabile. La guerra tra i browser \u00e8 solo all’inizio.<\/p>\n
