Bowie, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996, received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2006. He kept a low profile for several years. Bowie released Blackstar, his last album, on January 8, 2016, his 69th birthday. He passed away two days later.
