WandaVision returns to Disney+ Top 10: Scarlet Witch rumors resurface
More than three years after its debut, WandaVision is back in Disney+’s US Top 10 TV Shows. The 2021 Marvel Studios series stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff, and FlixPatrol currently has it at No. 8 in the US, according to the tracking site. That jump has also brought the Scarlet Witch comeback rumors right back with it.
If you’ve been waiting on Wanda Maximoff, there’s a reason this stands out. Her last live-action appearance was in 2022’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, where she seemed to sacrifice herself while destroying every Darkhold. Marvel Studios, though, never actually showed her dead on screen.
You can also take this resurgence as a reminder that Wanda is still sitting near the center of Marvel’s larger story. Her path from pawn in Avengers: Age of Ultron to Avenger, then to WandaVision’s grief-stricken lead, and finally to the villain of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, still splits the fan base. Agatha All Along, the upcoming VisionQuest, and Marvel Zombies all keep her connected to the MCU’s supernatural corner. Even Agatha All Along’s mention of Wanda Maximoff’s death was framed as Agatha Harkness’s view of things, not as confirmed fact.
And if you’re keeping an eye on Marvel’s multiverse plans, this is one to watch. There’s already plenty of chatter around Avengers: Doomsday, Avengers: Secret Wars, The Children’s Crusade, and Doctor Doom, plus Elizabeth Olsen has said she’d return if the story made sense. Kevin Feige has kept the door open too, repeating that in the multiverse, anything’s possible.
