The game Battlefield 6 has added a new mode called Casual Breakthrough, designed to provide a more relaxed and accessible gaming experience for players. By the way, the free Battle Royale mode is now available.
This mode is available in the main menu under the Multiplayer tab and has arrived as a response to those looking to complete challenges without the typical intensity of a full PvP room.
In Casual Breakthrough, the teams are made up of 8 real players and 16 bots, which aims to reduce the chaos that characterizes traditional matches. This mode includes only two maps: Siege of Cairo and Empire State. Through this design, EA seeks to create a calmer gaming environment where players can enjoy the experience without the pressure of constantly facing skilled opponents.

Players will be able to earn career experience, weapon XP, and battle pass XP, although full experience is only obtained by interacting with other real players. Killing or reviving bots grants a reduced amount of XP, an attempt to encourage interaction with human players and maintain balance in game progression.
However, this new mode has not been without criticism. Some players have expressed their dissatisfaction, arguing that Casual Breakthrough undermines the legitimate process of improving weapons.
“What’s the point of working on something if you can easily get it this way?” questioned a player. Additionally, participants in Casual Breakthrough cannot collect dog tags, earn accolades, or update career stats, which could make the experience less satisfying for those seeking tangible achievements.
Despite the criticism, EA hopes that this approach will allow players to explore new weapon configurations and enjoy the game in a less stressful way, thus preventing more competitive players from invading matches. Casual Breakthrough is ultimately proposed as an option for those who prefer a more relaxed experience in the world of Battlefield.
