The countdown to the unveiling event of the new iPhone 15 has begun. Next Tuesday, September 12th, Apple will hold Wonderlust, during which we will see various innovations and products. These products will subsequently arrive in stores, but this year the planned schedule could be different.
According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, Apple store employees are planning updates in the stores overnight on the 12th. But what does this mean regarding the arrival of the iPhone 15, the Apple Watch, and the rest of the products we are expecting?
A somewhat different release schedule
The most important thing is that the overnight update could be an indication that Apple is planning almost immediate availability of its new products after the event. The usual pattern, following the company’s previous release schedule, involves a presentation on a Tuesday or Wednesday, opening of reservations the following Friday, and arrival in stores and delivery of the first orders on the subsequent Friday. Now, with the store updates ready, as per the rumors, the situation could change.
In addition to the iPhone, Apple also plans to present, as far as we know, the new Apple Watch Series 9, the Apple Watch Ultra 2, and a version of the AirPods Pro 2 with a charging case with a USB-C connector. The truth is that we don’t expect more products, but there could always be a surprise.
The question that remains after Gurman’s information is, which product will arrive in stores right after the presentation? The most common scenario would be that it’s the Apple Watch, which has had immediate availability after events in the past. However, we cannot rule out the possibility that, for example, they might prepare the display of the iPhone 15, even if its actual release for sale comes a bit later.
In any case, if we’re eagerly awaiting the arrival of Apple’s new devices, there could be good news on the horizon. The possibility of almost immediate availability after the Wonderlust event could mean that the new iPhones will be in our hands sooner than one might expect.
