Showrunner Nick Santora says Prime Video’s upcoming Reacher spinoff, Neagley, already has its Season 2 storylines written before Season 1 has even premiered. That’s not an official renewal, at least not yet, but it does tell you how the team is thinking about the show. They seem to see Neagley as a lasting piece of the Reacher universe, with the creative work already in place if Prime Video decides to move ahead. Planning that far out usually means a larger character arc is already taking shape, and it often helps a show lock in its tone, pacing, and world-building earlier.
The series follows Frances Neagley, with Maria Sten back as the fan-favorite character. This time she’s stepping out from Jack Reacher’s shadow after a close friend from her past dies in what appears to be a suspicious accident. That pulls Frances Neagley into a personal hunt for answers, with the kind of blunt, hard-hitting action people expect from this franchise.
Reacher is already one of Prime Video’s bigger franchises, so moving quickly on a spinoff built around Frances Neagley was never much of a risk.
Still, the amount of planning behind it is a little surprising.
If you’re a Reacher fan, this already looks like a spinoff worth keeping an eye on. And if Season 1 connects, more episodes could show up sooner than usual.
Neagley will stream on Prime Video.
