Silent Hill f players have a free extra to grab as of June 26, 2026: a Crimson Butterfly crossover costume for Hinako, based on Mio Amakura from FATAL FRAME II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE. The DLC went live on June 26, 2026, and it doesn’t cost anything for anyone who owns Silent Hill f. Konami is treating it as an official collaboration with Koei Tecmo.
For fans of Japanese horror, this is a pretty natural fit. Silent Hill and FATAL FRAME have always drawn a lot of the same people. Both series lean hard on psychological dread, vulnerable female protagonists, and horror built around atmosphere rather than action-heavy scares. The crossover also lands at a bigger moment for both franchises. Silent Hill f had already topped 2 million sales by April 2026. FATAL FRAME II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE launched in March 2026 and sold 18,551 physical copies in Japan during its first week on PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2, plus an estimated 25,000 to 48,000 Steam copies in its first 48 hours.
