Star Wars: Visions: Tsukumo is out now, adding a new Star Wars: Visions chapter centered on Jedi survivor Nagi Tsukumo after Order 66. At the heart of it is a big Star Wars question: can a Jedi’s connection to the Force reach droids, too?
The manga follows Nagi Tsukumo through a harsher post-Order 66 galaxy alongside two droids, all of them searching for “Droid Paradise.” The usual survival pressure and Imperial threat are still there, but the story runs on a quieter, more spiritual current. The real draw, though, is a Jedi-hunting assassin droid that begins to question its own programming after seeing Nagi Tsukumo’s conviction firsthand. That takes a familiar Star Wars conflict, belief against control, and gives it a more openly philosophical edge.
If you’re worried about official lore getting rewritten, you don’t need to be. Star Wars: Visions: Tsukumo is non-canon, like the rest of Star Wars: Visions, and that freedom lets it go after ideas the main timeline usually leaves alone. If you’re into Visions at its most experimental, especially when it starts bending the usual Star Wars rules, this is an easy one to pick up.
There’s also a pretty clear line back to season 1 of Star Wars: Visions and “T0-B1,” and fans are already praising Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi’s Star Wars: Visions: Tsukumo for its bold manga-style visuals, its melancholy tone, and the way it builds a Jedi philosophy around droids.
