Marvel Comics has announced a drastic change in the story of the iconic Hulk with the release of Infernal Hulk, a series that promises to redefine the character after more than 60 years focused on Bruce Banner. Written by Phillip Kennedy Johnson and illustrated by Nic Klein, the first issue of this new saga will be available on November 26, 2025.
Hulk crushes with another face!
The series addresses the plot twist that occurs after the events of issue 30 of the current run of Incredible Hulk, where the demonic Eldest, the first daughter of the ancient Mother of Horrors, manages to separate Bruce Banner from his green alter ego. In a surprising turn, Eldest takes control of Hulk’s body, transforming into the Infernal Hulk, a being described as “ten times more monstrous” than the original, with the goal of plunging the world into a realm of ancestral horrors.
This new status imposes a “Monster Age” in the Marvel Universe, where heroes and heroines could be transformed into terrifying creatures, forever altering the well-known roster of characters. According to the creators, the mystical origins of Hulk are also explored, opening the door to new and unsettling tales that resonate with the roots of the Marvel universe itself.

Although Banner is stripped of his powers, his role as a hero does not extinguish. From his new vulnerable position, he becomes a vital human contrast against the threat of the Infernal Hulk, trying to save his companions from transforming into terrifying beasts. This story promises an intense dynamic with strong implications for other prominent members of the Avengers, such as Iron Man.
Nic Klein’s work not only captures the essence of horror, but it also symbolizes the fusion of Hulk and Eldest through a striking design of the creature, which highlights the gamma scar as a testament to this new era. With such a radical change, the Marvel fan community wonders how long this variant of Hulk will last; the continuity of the universe could be at stake.
