The developers of REPO have announced a significant update that will add a new Museum map, which is characterized by its vertical exploration and the inclusion of security lasers that players will have to dodge. This mechanic is reminiscent of the iconic action scenes from the movie Mission: Impossible, which promises to raise the level of challenge in the game, as highlighted by the semiwork development team during a recent Q&A session on Steam.

The new map will be a modern museum filled with platforms and changes in height, offering a dynamic environment that invites players to explore and adapt to its different levels. “Get ready to move between laser security modules,” said the semiwork team, who also confirmed that the map will include multiple laser alarms, an element expected to intensify the gaming experience while handling “precious cargo” amidst obstacles.

However, although the first REPO update will include this exciting content, the developers have mentioned that certain elements such as cooperative puzzles and challenge rooms will not be available in this initial release, although they are currently in the experimentation phase. This suggests that future updates could bring additional features that would further enrich the game’s dynamics.

The first update of REPO is now available in the beta branch, and its full release is expected to happen soon, as the developers are in the final preparation phase. In addition, semiwork has apologized for not meeting expectations regarding previously announced cosmetic content, but they have confirmed that other cosmetics and updates for old levels will arrive in the medium term.

Tom Cruise has once again demonstrated his dedication by performing high-risk action scenes in the Mission Impossible franchise. In Mission Impossible 2, released in 2000 and directed by John Woo, Cruise played Ethan Hunt in an iconic climbing sequence at Dead Horse Point, Utah, where he is seen performing impressive feats, such as the famous move known as Iron Cross. However, few know that Cruise filmed this scene while having a broken foot, a fact he kept secret during production.

Tom Cruise decided to do what Tom Cruise does: a crazy thing

Despite facing adverse weather conditions, including 40 days of rain and hurricane-force winds, Cruise insisted on keeping the original sequence of the film. In a recent interview, the actor shared his frustration over the studio’s attempts to change the film’s opening due to the bad weather. After much pressure, he decided he had to take the risk and film the sequence. “I thought: ‘Let’s go to the top of the mountain and start shooting,'” Cruise recalled.

The actor’s dedication to his work doesn’t stop there. Throughout the Mission Impossible saga, Cruise has performed other memorable feats such as climbing the Burj Khalifa, executing a HALO jump, and holding his breath underwater for six minutes. His commitment to action scenes has helped define the franchise’s identity and raised audience expectations.

Fans of Tom Cruise and the series are eager to see the culmination of Ethan Hunt’s story in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, which premieres in Spanish cinemas on May 23. This film, directed by Christopher McQuarrie, promises more adrenaline-fueled moments and action that have characterized the saga for three decades.
