Exciting Garena Free Fire Tips to Win Matches

If you’ve been enjoying great Battle Royale shooters like Fortnite and H1Z1 lately, one more has been added to the list: Garena Free Fire. Just like the other Battle Royales, you can have fun by standing out in a pitched war all against all, and the best part, is it’s free. And you can find free codes to progress in the game every day. You already have available the free codes for January 3rd.

Garena Free Fire is the kind of game that you can always carry with you on your mobile device, regardless of whether it is an iPhone or an Android. In it, you can customize your player from scratch and then enter a map to kill all your enemies, create strategies or even outwit your rivals.

And the game leaves nothing to be desired. With a total of 73 million players between January and March of this year, you can have great fights and an excellent experience without having to wait in long lines, making it an ideal game for every gamer.

Complete guide to getting started in Garena Free Fire

Unlike complex titles that have achieved great renown, such as Genshin Impact or similar, Free Fire is not as tedious to start playing. You won’t need to make an account to save your progress, and although there are cosmetic attachments that are paid for with real money, they are not at all necessary when advancing in the game.

However, you will most likely want to look your best. To access these special accessories, you will have to buy the in-game currency called “gems” with real money. For example, you will be able to buy pets for 150 gems (about $1.5), and feeding them will cost you 30 gems per day ($0.3).

However, it does not mean that you will always have to pay the same: many times, you will find temporary offers that will allow you to get such sought-after pets for a much lower price.

Once you have your pet in the game lobby, all that’s left is to start enjoying it. You can train it, feed it and play with it whenever you want. And although there are currently no new features with these, it is possible that in the future new options will be opened for players.

Before starting each game, all players are sent to a special room where they can run and check who they are about to fight. This place is ideal if you are a novice, as you will be able to try all the controls included in the game: running, aiming, shooting, crouching, and many others.

Once the room is completely prepared, you will be inside a plane that flies over a map, and you will be able to jump with a parachute whenever you want. As in many battle royale games, this will help you to choose the point from where you want to start your game.

Ideally, you should look for areas with structures or buildings, since you will land completely naked. Usually, inside the buildings, you will find weapons, armor, and ammunition to start facing other players. The truth is that you should always be careful, since, just as you will go for these supplies, so will others.

After arming up and getting ready, the games flow quickly and usually last no more than 10 minutes. Every so often, you will see a plane appear, and a timer will indicate that a safe zone has emerged.

The game’s first feature is that, just like in Fortnite, you must stay in the safe zone, which is getting smaller and smaller. Outside the safe zone, you will take damage until you die, while inside the safe zone, it is inevitable that you will eventually encounter players who are also looking to survive.

The truth is that, after eliminating a few players, you will get the hang of the game. It may be frustrating to adjust at first, but the truth is that you will soon start eliminating players in a big way. We, for example, lasted about three games without killing anyone, and then we won first place by eliminating everyone else.

However, we must manage certain tricks. One example is that at the start, we must go to buildings and get loot, weapons, and bulletproof vests. In the meantime, we must avoid attracting attention so as not to fall prey to other players. Your priority will be assault rifles to be able to fight at long distances, while on the other hand, shotguns will serve as melee weapons and pistols as a secondary weapon in case you run out of bullets.

In addition to this, you may find mushrooms on the map. These end up giving you an additional hp bar that, when combined with a bulletproof vest, will give you a great shield to fight with. This way, you can be the Terminator himself getting shot before your hp is compromised.

At the end of the games, your prize will be experience and gold, which is the common currency of the game. With experience points, you will be able to level up, which will allow you to see more items in the store, while with gold you will be able to buy the basic items in the shop. However, the special ones cost gems.

Compared to other Battle Royale, Garena Free Fire still has a long way to go. There’s a low amount of extras, and most still don’t have a great function. While they look nice like pets, there’s no incentive to buy and keep one.

However, its main appeal remains that the game is free. Using the basic weapons from the store and armor at no cost will allow you to play very well and smoothly. Still, if you end up wanting to master the game, it’s always good to spend some money on special items that are only bought for gems.

Finally, if you love battle royale, this game will keep you entertained for quite a while. You will enjoy every second of it, and who knows: you might become one of the best in the whole field.

Other Games that Cloned Assets and Gameplay like Sigma

Recently, I covered news about Sigma Free Fire vanishing from the Play Store due to copyright infringements against Garena Free Fire. While many are up in arms regarding this obvious clone, it’s not the first time this has happened. It also won’t be the last. We even have AI learning how to write and draw like humans, but that’s a discussion for another day.

For now, I want to discuss previous instances where developers copied popular games and got away with it. Also, let’s chat about what the gaming industry would be like if we didn’t have these copycats.

Fortnite vs PUBG, Minecraft, and Apex Legends

Some of you might not know this, but Fortnite has many elements from other games. It basically took the Battle Royale aspect from PUBG and crafting buildings from Minecraft. At a later stage, it included revival vans that appeared in Apex Legends first. These competitors are always stealing ideas from each other, though. After Fortnite introduced web-slinging with the infamous Spider-Man’, it wasn’t long before PUBG and others followed suit.

Genshin Impact and Tower of Fantasy

While Tower of Fantasy isn’t an exact clone of Genshin Impact, there are many elements that are similar. For example, you have The Wanderer as the protagonist, the open world design, and JRPPGanime animations We can easily forgive these copied elements, considering that Genshin Impact was once considered a lone of Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Pokemon Go vs The Walking Dead: Our World and Follow JC GO!

When Niantic released Pokemon GO as an AR mobile game, it was sensational. Surer, they can patent the game and characters, but not AR mobile gaming in general. The Walking Dead: Our World was quick to follow in its success, offering similar elements with Walking Dead creatures and cast. Even the Vatican made a religious game called Follow JC GO!

Overwatch and Ace Force

Despite the popularity of Overwatch, Blizzard spent many years debating if it should make a mobile version. It’s only recently that it announced that one is in development. Before then, Tencent’s company, MoreFun, made a mobile game called Ace Force that was very similar in most regards. It’s added new features since then to set it apart from Overwatch. Still, there’s no denying that it is a clone.

DotA vs every MOBA game since then

Who of you were around when DotA and then DotA 2 launched? It wasn’t the first MOBA to enter the scene, but it was the first one to become immensely popular’ it first appeared as a mode in World of Warcraft as Death of the Ancients, but soon became a separate game. Needless to say, games like League of Legends and Mobile Legends that appeared afterwards were simply cloning DotA’s success in their own ways.

Is it really that bad?

As you can see, we received many exciting titles with one developer taking ideas from another. But isn’t that the way the world works lately? One news site sees news trending on another site and then writes an article about it in its own way. In the same way, game developers see which genres and games are increasingly popular and make similar games with new themes and characters. What we get are more games with action and excitement.

Sigma gets shut down for copyright infringement by Garena

If you love mobile battle royale games, chances are you’ve picked up on the new Sigma title that had gamers shooting their hearts out in arenas. I hope you enjoyed the show, as Garena has officially shut it down along with its servers. Even Google Play removed the game from its store, despite the 600,000 downloads.

What did it do wrong? Why did Garena Free Fire make sure it was removed? Should we expect to see Sigma Battle Royale back in app stores? Let’s explore all these exciting questions!

What is Sigma Battle Royale?

Studio Arm Private Limited is the creator of Sigma Battle Royale. It’s a third-person battle royale shooting game where you drop into a zone, find loot and weapons, and try to eliminate other players. It’s a popular concept among many mobile, PC, and console games, such as PUBG, Call of Duty Mobile, CoD Warzone, and, of course, Garena Free Fire.

Sigma had two modes. The first was the actual Battle Royale, where 50 players faced each other in combat to eliminate each other. For the second, four players in a team fought against another four players. The game was still in early access, with more modes to come.

Why was Sigma so popular?

The reason so many gamers turned to Sigma Battle Royale lately was due to its file download size. Garena Free Fire pulls a hefty 600 MB, which is massive for low-end phones and tablets. Even Call of Duty mobile is just over 2 GB once you download all the assets within the game.

Sigma only came in at about 280 MB, and yet, it still delivered an exhilarating battle royale experience. It’s easy to see why gamers were leaving games like Garena Free Fire to play this newbie in the gaming industry. I guess that’s why they finally decided to take action.

The Garena Free Fire copyright infringement

To make sure no more gamers left Garena to move to Sigma, the company decided to take action. You see, most of the assets in Sigma look exactly like Garena. There are also many gameplay elements that look similar. Some players even go as far as calling it Garena Free Fire Lite. With too many aspects looking like Garena, Google took the claim as fact and removed Sigma from the Play Store.

Was it so wrong? The copycat effect

It’s ironic that Garena would take this action. It actually launched as an alternative to PUBG Mobile back in the day, taking up less storage space than its inspiration. Sure, it didn’t copy as many aspects as Sigma did, but the reason so many gamers turned to it was its low storage space and memory usage. They could play Free Fire on low-end devices.

As with most games that become popular, Garena Free Fire grew in size as seasons passed and more content joined the party. It reached a point where even low-end devices struggled to play it. You also needed way more storage space than before. Enter the copycat effect.

I don’t really blame Studio Arm Private Limited for seeing this exciting opportunity. Here are gamers complaining they can’t play Garena anymore due to the rising requirements. Sigma was the solution that many players were looking for, so they struck gold. The only real issue is that they copied too many assets that look similar to Free Fire, giving Garena a powerful way to eliminate the competition.

Sigma servers are down

Not only can’t you find the game on Google Play Store, but Sigma servers are officially closed. That means you won’t be able to play online, even if you find an alternative place to download the apk. All you’ll get is a file that installs and does nothing, and there’s a good chance it may have some malware on it.

Will Sigma Battle Royale make a return?

One of the top questions that gamers have is if Sigma Battle Royale will make a return. I genuinely believe there’s enough interest in the game that the developers will find a way to change the assets enough not to look like Garena Free Fire. After all, you just need to change the appearance of characters, weapons, and locations with a few tweaks to the gameplay. Right?

With over 600,000 downloads, it would be a tragedy if Sigma didn’t return to the Play Store. It’s not like Google has banned them forever. All they need to do is make sure they eliminate the copyright violations, and they should be good to go. Perhaps they can even make some agreement with Garena to keep it as a lite version of Free Fire with some royalties.

Can you still find Sigma apk downloads?

I’ve looked online, and there are still a few sites offering Sigma Free Fire apk files. They’re probably not picked up on what’s happened and forgot to remove the download file. Either that, or they’re banking on all of you trying to check out what the fuss is all about. I recommend not downloading it until this matter has been sorted out and a new version is released.
