The key is a hands-on approach to education, where learning takes place outside the classroom through tasks that benefit the residents of the Mossport community. For example, players might receive requests from citizens, such as helping a bus driver struggling with drowsiness. The task involves researching and gathering ingredients to prepare a healing tea, thus bringing theory into practice.

Players will progress from apprentice to master, managing a merit system that rewards the completion of assignments. Moreover, the social component of the game stands out, where extracurricular activities are as important as studies. “The balance between studying and enjoying free time is essential,” emphasizes Ball.

Witchbrook will also offer single-player and multiplayer modes, a conscious decision to enhance the overall experience. Every design decision has been made with the premise that the game should be equally enjoyable whether played alone or with others.
