Sophie Turner and Kit Harington, known for their roles as Sansa Stark and Jon Snow in the iconic series Game of Thrones, reunite in the new horror film The Dreadful. This film marks a milestone in their careers, as it features their first on-screen kiss. Despite the excitement of collaborating again, both actors have shared that the experience of filming the romantic scenes was quite uncomfortable, describing it as vile and causing nausea during the takes.
A script that made them feel uncomfortable
During a recent appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Turner revealed that the discomfort arose even before they started filming. While reading the script, she realized it included several scenes of physical contact between her and Harington. “I sent the script to Kit and he noticed some issues with what he was reading,” she commented. Although six years have passed since their last interaction on Game of Thrones, the sibling relationship that formed between them on set remained intact, adding an additional layer of awkwardness to their new collaboration.
The Dreadful, directed by Natasha Kermani, is set in the 15th century during the War of the Roses. The story follows a character played by Turner, who lives on the fringes of society, alongside her mother-in-law, Morwen, played by Marcia Gay Harden. Harington, in the role of a man from the past, urges the protagonist to confront the life she left behind.
Despite the fact that the movie entered post-production in January, a release date has not yet been announced. Fans of both actors and horror cinema can eagerly anticipate this new production, waiting for more news about its premiere.
