Capcom has taken a big step forward in its adaptation to the new Apple chips with the launch of Resident Evil 7 Biohazard for iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and all iPad and Mac devices equipped with Apple silicon chips. A decision celebrated by fans of the saga, this launch offers Apple users an unprecedented gaming experience on mobile and desktop devices.
Resident Evil Biohazard arrives on Apple silicon
Resident Evil 7, recognized as one of the best horror games of 2017, can now be played natively on Apple chips, taking full advantage of their power to bring to life the elite graphics we expect from the saga. The game supports cross-progression and universal purchase, allowing you to enjoy the game on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac with a single purchase, and synchronize saved games between these devices to continue playing wherever you are.
The iPhone and iPad version has been specially adapted to improve gameplay on touch screens. It includes enhanced controls and a new Auto Shoot option, designed to make sudden encounters with enemies easier. In addition, the game is fully compatible with any controller that you can connect to your devices.
In addition to the main game, the download includes the extra content Not A Hero, as well as the option to upgrade to the Gold Edition, which offers more additional content. Capcom has decided to release the game as a free download that allows you to play a part of it for no cost, with the option to unlock the full game for $19.99 and add the Gold Edition upgrade for an additional $20.00.
While Capcom confirmed that Resident Evil 9 is in production, revealing some key details, the arrival of Resident Evil 7 Biohazard to Apple platforms is undoubtedly good news. Especially considering that Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Village are already available, and Resident Evil 2 is currently in development.
