Sony aims to strike another multiplayer hit in 2024, just like it did with Helldivers 2, which, despite having lost more than 90% of its players, still maintains good numbers. We’re talking about Concord, a title developed by Firewalk that’ll be released on August 23rd for PC and PlayStation 5… and that you’ll be able to try out in advance this upcoming weekend.
This 5v5 shooter starts its early access for those who have pre-ordered Concord in its PlayStation 5 or PC version. To be exact, the beta is available at 1:00 pm EST, so hurry up and download the beta -if you’ve pre-ordered- and start making every second worth it. Also, if you have pre-ordered the game, you’ll receive up to four extra codes for friends. Check your email inbox, as there you’ll find out how to invite your friends to play in this early access.
If you’re one of those folks who haven’t reserved Concord because you want to try it first and see if it’s worth it, the ideal day for you is next week. PlayStation has announced that starting this Thursday, July 18th, likewise at 1:00 pm EST, any player will be able to connect and try the open beta. This opportunity will last until Sunday, July 21st, so you’ll have a little over three days to enjoy the multiplayer.
PlayStation confirmed that none of the progress you achieve in this beta will be transferred to the final game. Therefore, any progress you make will have to be done again when Concord is released in late August.
On the other hand, players will be rewarded if they try the open beta. As a token of gratitude, you’ll receive the following items for the game: a Frog Weapon Amulet (the name of the Northstar’s transport ship, not literally a frog), a Starburst icon, and a business card.
