Marvel has set Wolverine #30 for December 2, 2026, and it’s being framed as the issue where Logan’s “THE BEAST UNLEASHED!” feral transformation finally hits.
The arc comes from Saladin Ahmed and artist Martín Cóccolo, and the Juan Ferreyra cover Marvel revealed makes the tone pretty clear: Wolverine is soaked in blood, with oversized fangs and thicker body hair in a horror-leaning redesign that reads like an actual physical mutation, not just another berserker rage spiral.
According to Marvel, a villain pulls Logan into a trap built to turn him into a weapon, possibly by messing with his heightened senses after an old friend reaches out for help with a “charitable cause.” From the way the surrounding issues seem to be moving, this looks less like a one-issue shock swerve and more like a slower breakdown that’s been building for a while.
If you keep up with Wolverine, this looks like one to grab, especially since it calls back to the 1990s feral period after Magneto ripped the adamantium from Logan’s skeleton, while also carrying forward the more recent “Savage Champion” ideas about the human, animal, and metal parts of who he is, along with Ahmed’s interest in Logan’s emotional vulnerability and a healing factor that doesn’t leave him with much of a safety net.
Marvel says it’ll be on shelves from Marvel and at comic shops on December 2, 2026.
