Hero shooters are not going through their best moment and a good example of this would be Overwatch 2. Despite the immense popularity achieved by its first installment, the sequel has not managed to convince the community. However, it seems that Marvel doesn’t care much about this, as it is determined to revolutionize the genre with a new superheroic proposal.
For now, the only official information we have is a post published by Marvel Games on X. The company states that there will be a big announcement this Wednesday and includes the following message: “An evil experiment has caused a unique alteration in the temporal flow. Who will be dragged into this epic confrontation?”
According to what we can read on Forbes, rumors indicate that the game would be titled Marvel Rivals and it would be a 6v6 hero shooter, in the style of Overwatch. Unlike the latter, here we would have a third-person camera. Doctor Strange, Loki, Scarlet Witch, Spider-Man, or Ironman are some of the characters that could be included in this multiplayer. The game would be developed by NetEase, a company mainly known for making mobile games.
However, we still do not have any official confirmation, beyond the post published by Marvel. However, users like Kurakasis consider all this data to be valid. In their favor, the leaker also accurately revealed the title of Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra.
Marvel and Skydance New Media presented Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra last week. It is a title directed by Amy Hennig, director in charge of the Uncharted saga until its third installment. In addition, it features Captain America and Black Panther as protagonists.
