The remake of the best platform game from the first PlayStation is announced

One of the biggest announcements from the past E3 is the return of Tombi. To be exact, the big news is the date when we will be able to enjoy Tombi’s return, because we already knew that it was likely to come back with what appears to be an excellent remake. But let’s not fool ourselves. As great as the first game of the franchise was, what we were all really waiting for was something else: the announcement of the beloved and long-awaited second part. And fortunately, we haven’t had to wait long.
Tomba! 2: The Evil Swine Return, known originally in Spain as Tombi! 2: Against the Pigdevils, will be developed by Whoopee Camp for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC, as announced on June 20th by Limited Run Games. It’ll have a physical edition, by the same company, with a reservation date yet to be announced.
Tombi! 2: Against the Pigdevils was originally released on June 16, 2000, in Europe and became a sensation, turning into one of the best platform games for the first PlayStation. Remembered with immense affection by those who played it at the time, this is great news that will make many people very happy. Including us.
Meanwhile, Tomba! Special Edition will be available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC on August 1st. It will also be released on PlayStation 4, but the date is still to be confirmed.
