YouTube TV has received a huge update: How to try the new multiview

Google is bringing major improvements to YouTube TV, and one of the standout features is a completely revamped multiview experience. Initially available only for sports fans, multiview now supports a wider range of content, allowing subscribers to watch up to four channels simultaneously—even outside of sports.

Multiview now supports entertainment, not just sports

YouTube TV’s new multiview update lets you build your own viewing setup, not just rely on preset channel combinations. For now, this feature is rolling out to a small selection of popular national channels like Bravo, ESPN, and USA, but Google plans to expand to local and other genres soon.

How to access the upgraded multiview

If you’re already a subscriber, you can try the feature by tapping on “Multiview” on mobile, or by pressing down on your TV remote to browse available views. Additionally, Google is introducing personalized multiview suggestions in the Home tab, under sections like “Watch in multiview” and “Top picks for you.”

Always-on multiview is coming soon

Beyond manual setup, Google is preparing a new “Always-On” multiview mode, starting with live feeds from ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC. This will give users a permanent, real-time dashboard of what’s happening on key national channels—perfect for those who like to stay informed without switching constantly.

While the rollout is gradual, most users can expect to see this functionality appear over the coming weeks. Whether you’re tracking multiple games or mixing reality TV with breaking news, YouTube TV’s multiview is becoming more flexible and useful than ever.
