Netflix confirmed Season 2 of All of Us Are Dead on June 6, 2022, after the first 12-episode season turned the South Korean zombie drama into one of the platform’s biggest horror breakout hits.
The show premiered on January 28, 2022. Based on Joo Dong-geun’s webtoon Now at Our School, it traps a group of teenage survivors inside a high school while classmates, teachers, and friends turn into violent threats. Hallways, classrooms, the gym, and the rooftop all become battlegrounds, and the story keeps bringing trust, betrayal, and sacrifice to the front.
Netflix said the series reached No. 1 in 58 countries, landed in the top 10 in 91, and became the second non-English show after Squid Game to lead Netflix’s weekly charts. It also pulled in 124.79 million hours watched in its first three days, then passed 474.26 million within 30 days.
Critics were on board too. All of Us Are Dead holds an 89% score on Rotten Tomatoes, with praise aimed at the claustrophobic setting, the fast, energetic action, and the attention paid to its characters. And the show’s focus on bullying, institutional failure during crises, abandoned students, and even Sewol-linked national trauma made it feel heavier than a standard zombie series.
If you missed All of Us Are Dead the first time around, now’s a good time to catch up before Season 2 shows up. Netflix confirmed the renewal on June 6, 2022, filming reportedly wrapped in February 2026, and Season 2 is expected in late 2026 or early 2027.
