Apple has made a significant transition by moving the iPhone to a USB-C connector with the launch of the iPhone 15, leaving behind the old Lightning port that has been a standard for years.
However, this update has created a gap for CarPlay users, as many cars are still equipped only with USB-A ports, making it difficult to directly connect a USB-C iPhone.
As a temporary solution, Apple launched a USB-C to Lightning adapter for a price of $29, but this is not the ideal option for CarPlay users, who were hoping for a more integrated solution.
Apple consumers trust Beats
In response to this need, Beats, a brand that Apple acquired in 2014, has introduced a USB-A to USB-C cable, positioned as the official solution to connect USB-C iPhones to CarPlay systems with USB-A ports.
This new Beats cable, available in two braided colors (Bolt Black and Surge Stone) and in lengths of 20 cm and 1.5 m, is priced at $18.99.
Currently, the longer version in black is available at a reduced price on Amazon, thanks to a 15% discount coupon. There is also a two-cable package option, allowing for additional savings for users who need multiple connections.
Despite the existence of more affordable alternatives from other manufacturers, many CarPlay users have chosen the Beats cable as their preference, considering it the solution officially endorsed by Apple. This underscores the trust that consumers have in the Beats brand, not only in audio products but also in accessories that facilitate the integration of technology in the car.
