Activision has confirmed it: the union of Call of Duty with Warhammer 40K is a reality. Despite not having an official release date, at least we can enjoy a small preview that shows us how the Space Marines’ arrival to Warzone and MW3 will look like.
According to the post published by Call of Duty, the game will receive “skins inspired by the Warhammer 40K universe, Space Marines, Battle Sisters, Astra Militarum skins, and much more”.
The Space Marines are perhaps one of the most recognized figures in Warhammer 40K. They are, essentially, genetically modified superhuman warriors loyal to the Emperor. We also have the Sisters of Battle, warrior nuns who seek to impose their religious doctrine through their (violent) methods. Finally, the Astra Militarum is “the backbone of the largest armies of the Imperium,” according to Warhammer.
Rumors about this collaboration started after a leak. Semtex, a well-known leaker, posted in January a post with several findings obtained through data mining. This data (icons, art, skins, etc.) hinted at a crossover between Call of Duty and Warhammer 40K, information that has finally turned out to be true.
