Stickers have long been a staple of any WhatsApp or iMessage group, and ChatGPT has just given us the ideal tool to turn them into something much more personal. Until now, creating our own required an iPhone or relying on dedicated apps that weren’t all that useful. Now ChatGPT turns any photo or idea into a sticker ready to use, and it goes much, much further than simply cutting out an image.
From photo to sticker in just a few seconds
You can find ChatGPT’s new Stickers feature, as posted on OpenAI’s Twitter, under Images > Stickers in the sidebar. From here we can upload one or more images, ask for changes, combine elements, or transfer the style of one image to another. Unlike current tools that let you cut out part of an image, here the key is that we can describe exactly the result we’re looking for and let ChatGPT do the rest.
It’s also worth mentioning the tip for adding recent Photos to ChatGPT that we saw yesterday and that lets us, among other things, take a screenshot of an image or even of a sticker we receive, and put an AI spin on it.
When we have the sticker we’re looking for, the Add to chat apps button lets us send the result to iMessage, WhatsApp, or even save it to Photos to use it with other apps. WhatsApp, keep in mind, requires a minimum of three stickers per pack, while in iMessage we can save a single sticker and we’ll see it appear in the Messages app carousel.
With models capable of generating increasingly precise images, like the current ChatGPT Images 2.0, having the exact sticker for every conversation takes seconds.
