Taiwan’s game ratings database has added a new clue to the Diablo 4 on Switch 2 rumor pile. Blizzard may be preparing the game for Nintendo’s next system, with Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred now rated there in what looks like the strongest sign so far that a port is on the way.
It follows a similar listing that showed up in Indonesia. The Taiwan entry points to the April 2026 expansion, not just the base game, which makes this sound more like a fuller edition with post-launch content already packed in. That could mean Vessel of Hatred from October 2024 is included too, rather than this being only the original 2023 release.
If you’ve been holding out for Diablo 4 on Nintendo hardware, a bundled version like that might be the one to wait for.
Blizzard and Nintendo still haven’t made any of this official, though. There’s no release date yet. No trailer. No final breakdown of what content would actually be included. We also still don’t know how Diablo 4 would run on the system, how sharp it would look, which Switch 2-specific features it might use, or how its always-online setup would hold up in handheld play. Former Diablo lead Rod Fergusson has called Nintendo Switch 2 an “opportunity,” but he also noted the headaches that come with bringing a live-service game over.
And honestly, the idea fits. Blizzard says Diablo 4 was the fastest-selling game in the company’s history, pulling in more than $666 million in its first five days. Diablo III already had a good run on the original Nintendo Switch back in 2018. Then there are the rumored Switch 2 specs: a custom Nvidia chip, a 7.9-inch 1080p screen, and 256GB of storage, based on reports and leaks. Put that together and the port doesn’t sound far-fetched.
