Secrets to master Fortnite’s Squad Mode
Read now ►A beta for this new cross-platform compatibility is available now for all Fortnite players. Kodera, however, has emphasized that Sony will be looking at the beta with an eye to make sure that the experience is best on PlayStation 4. This is in keeping with Fortnite’s focus on the PS4 as their primary platform.
This marks the first time that Sony has implemented cross-platform play, and if the beta performs well, it stands to reason that they may consider implementing cross-platform compatibility on other titles in the future.
This is in sharp contrast to its previous no-go policy regarding cross-platform play. Instructions on how to take part in the beta have not yet been made available, but Fornite’s PS4 players should keep their eyes peeled for further instructions.
