The Genesis GV60 has undergone a major redesign, showcasing technical advancements and a sleek new aesthetic aimed at enhancing its appeal in the luxury electric vehicle market.
Debuting in Korea, the updated electric SUV now offers a certified driving range of up to 300 miles (481 km), an improvement over the previous model’s range of 280 miles (451 km).
This redesign emphasizes performance as well, with the all-wheel-drive (AWD) model boasting up to 490 horsepower and an impressive 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of just four seconds.
The new GV60 can recharge from 10% to 80% in as little as 18 minutes
Enhancements also extend to charging capabilities; the new GV60 can recharge from 10% to 80% in as little as 18 minutes using a 350 kW fast charger. These improvements position the GV60 as a competitive option for tech-savvy and performance-oriented consumers.
The exterior redesign includes a refined front bumper and the brand’s signature Two Line headlamps featuring Micro Lens Array technology, which enhances visibility as users approach the vehicle.
The rear has also been fine-tuned for better aesthetics and a lower stance. Inside, the GV60 showcases a new 27-inch cciC (connected car Integrated Cockpit) infotainment system, which eliminates bezels between screens for a more integrated feel.
Comfort and driving dynamics have been enhanced with improved shock absorber valves, reducing vibrations, and introducing a new Electronic Active Sound Design system, allowing drivers to customize engine sounds. Additionally, the introduction of Virtual Gear Shift and hidden Drift Mode adds to the excitement for performance enthusiasts.
Pricing starts at 64.9 million won (approximately $45,000) in Korea, with expectations for similar base prices around $52,350 in the US once it becomes available later this year. Genesis is currently offering leases for existing GV60 models at enticing rates starting at $299 per month, making this luxury electric SUV an attractive choice as it heads into global markets.
