Google revolutionizes its search tool with these innovations
Google has taken a new qualitative leap with its search tool, introducing two revolutionary concepts that could potentially change the functioning of the ‘G’ giant’s search tool forever. These two features not only gather community feedback but also further personalize content based on individual user interests.
The first of these innovations is ‘Notes,’ enabling users to provide feedback of various kinds. Meanwhile, ‘Add’ will allow marking any particular interest. In this manner, Google is introducing a search tool that’s more dynamic and interactive than ever before.
Both functions, however, will not be available for the time being in the US and UK English version of Google, so this is a test that, if successful, would later expand to more countries and other languages. In fact, the Notes section could imply significant organic changes because community feedback could be crucial in directing user attention and clicks.
In the case of “Add,” Google gives you the freedom to include any topic, seemingly without limits, among your personal interests. By selecting the keywords you desire, you simply have to “add” them, and Google will allocate part of its content to show you things related to your specific interest. Thus, the change, more than organic, will be at a personal level, and each user will have a unique experience while using Google’s search tool.
Google’s race
Google currently has many fronts open, but it holds quite advantageous positions in most cases. For instance, in the productivity segment, while facing a strong rival inMicrosoft and its AI, Copilot, Google Bard and Google’s workplace services also boast an incredibly compelling, interesting, and competitive premise.
Google Bard is the new AI from Google.
However, there are also shadows, even at Google. A clear example of this was their failed venture in the gaming market, betting on streaming games in general and specifically on Google Stadia. The initial idea wasn’t far from what other competing brands are doing, but the Stadia product didn’t resonate with the community. Therefore, if they want to try their luck again, they’ll have to reformulate their strategy to achieve more success in the future.
