Google announced today that it will open access to its artificial intelligence mode (AI Mode) for all Google Labs users in the United States, removing the waiting list that had been in effect.
This situation promises to facilitate user interaction with the platform’s AI capabilities, providing a more personalized and effective experience when conducting searches.
In the coming weeks, AI Mode will allow users to get more details in search results. This will include informative blocks about local places and products, such as restaurants, salons, and stores, enabling them to see ratings, reviews, and opening hours at a glance.
Say goodbye to waiting lists: Google’s AI mode is now available
Likewise, when search queries focus on purchases of specific products, users will see options with real-time prices, images, shipping details, and local inventory, all within AI mode.
For example, if a user is planning a camping trip, they can ask more specific questions like: “What is the best folding camping chair that fits in a backpack for under $100?”, instead of just asking “show me a folding camping chair.”
AI Mode will provide a comprehensive list of recommended products that fit the user’s budget, along with product details and links to retailers.
A notable feature that will be implemented is the ability to resume previous searches. By clicking on a new panel on the left side, users will be able to access their past searches, which will include the information that AI Mode has already found, similar to the conversation history in Gemini.
Although initially the AI mode will be accessible to a small percentage of users in the U.S., a broader future expansion is suggested.
