Rockstar Games has released the first official cover art poster for Grand Theft Auto VI ahead of pre-orders opening on June 25, 2026. It puts a modern-day Vice City front and center, with Jason and Lucia leading the image, and it also sneaks in a few hints about the wider state of Leonida.
The poster sticks with the classic GTA collage style Rockstar has been using since Grand Theft Auto III. Characters, locations, vehicles, and the series’ usual dose of everyday criminal chaos are all packed into the frame.
But this isn’t just cover art for the sake of cover art. It also reads like a deliberate preview of Grand Theft Auto VI itself. The nightlife, beaches, highways, swamps, and coastal waters all suggest a map that stretches well past the city limits.
A supercar, motorcycle, helicopter, and speedboat all make an appearance too, hinting at missions that could play out across land, air, and water.
Fans, unsurprisingly, are already pulling the image apart like a theory board. They’re tying details such as the helicopter, the yellow performance car, the bikini-clad woman, and even the reptile to older Rockstar Games and Vice City imagery, including the Sea Sparrow and Infernus-era promo art.
If you’ve been following GTA 6 closely, this is the kind of reveal you’ll probably want to study frame by frame, if only for the hints about the setting and the kinds of missions Rockstar seems to be teasing.
Grand Theft Auto VI opens pre-orders on June 25, 2026, and launches on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, according to Rockstar Games.
