GTA 6 is now on the PlayStation Store: PS5 Pro support, price and release date

Grand Theft Auto VI has appeared on the PlayStation Store, and the listing confirms something people had been watching for: PS5 Pro Enhanced support ahead of the game’s PS5 launch on November 19, 2026.

That same store page also settles the release date on Sony’s side. GTA VI hits PS5 on November 19, 2026. Rockstar Games has already said it’s coming to Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S as well.

For anyone planning to buy the digital version, pre-orders go live at midnight local time on June 25, 2026, according to the PlayStation Store listing. Pre-loading starts on November 12. Right now, the store has the Standard Edition priced at $79.99, while the Ultimate Edition is listed at $99.99.

PS5 Pro players can expect the usual Enhanced benefits: better image quality, steadier frame rates, improved ray tracing, and sharper upscaling. Sony and Rockstar still haven’t gone into the exact technical changes, so the broad feature list is all that’s public for now.

Rockstar has also confirmed Leonida as the setting, plus a return to Vice City and the two main characters, Lucia and Jason. At launch, the game is being framed as a single-player release. So if there’s going to be anything like GTA Online attached to it, Rockstar hasn’t confirmed that yet.

There’s also the physical release question. Reports say the boxed version might come with a download code instead of a disc, and that has already irritated collectors and players who still care about actually owning a physical copy.

If you’re buying on day one, the listing clears up the practical stuff people usually want first: when pre-orders start, when pre-loading begins, what the editions cost, and whether PS5 Pro support is there.

The bigger unknowns are still hanging out there. Rockstar hasn’t shared much yet about gameplay systems, performance targets, or what its longer-term online plans look like. You can pre-order Grand Theft Auto VI through the PlayStation Store for PS5, and the Xbox Series X/S versions are still on track for launch day too.
