Hasbro is adding a third Peppa Pig Play Cafe in China this October, this time in Suzhou. The first two opened in Hangzhou and Chengdu, and the Suzhou venue brings that same Peppa Pig cafe model to another city. It’s built for preschoolers and families, mixing themed dining with Peppa Pig play zones and attractions, though Hasbro still hasn’t shared the full rundown on what the new Suzhou location will include.
The opening also fits Hasbro’s larger “Playing to Win” strategy. The company has been pushing its brands past toys, TV, and film and into places families can visit in person. A play cafe doesn’t require the scale or investment of a full theme park, but it can still bring families back more than once, spark plenty of social sharing, and create another stream of spending around a familiar brand.
And this isn’t happening in isolation. Peppa Pig is getting a bigger push in China more generally, with the 3D film Peppa Pig: Perfect Holiday scheduled for release there on October 1, 2026. That gives the brand support on both sides, media and live experiences.
For anyone who watches how major family franchises expand, Hasbro’s Peppa Pig move in China looks like one to follow. The company is also planning Transformers Mission Energon in Gramado, Brazil, for late 2026, billed as the country’s first permanent Transformers attraction. For now, the Suzhou Peppa Pig Play Cafe is expected to open in China in October, and fuller details on both projects are still pending.
