The creator of Jujutsu Kaisen praises the second season and says that it is better than the first

Jujutsu Kaisen reaches its second season and this is what the creator of the manga thinks about its quality.

Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the hottest anime, and the movie that was released last year and made it into the top 10 most watched anime feature films in history proves it. But it’s been two years since we’ve seen any new episodes of the series, and the second season has just been released on Crunchyroll.

In this new batch of episodes we see how Gojo was before the previous events; that is, during his time as a student. Undoubtedly, it is being a very interesting arc that gives context to the whole plot and, in addition, serves for the MAPPA studio, which is behind the series, to “warm up” before returning to the main plot. But what does Gege Akutami, the mangaka behind Jujutsu Kaisen, think of the second season?

“As an author I couldn’t feel more blessed”

“Director Goshozono and I are from the same generation, and he has similar sensibilities as me. I feel that he has the same goal in mind as me, I can feel his determination to make something even better than the first season and the movie, and I’m already very satisfied even though it hasn’t even been released yet. I hope many people will watch the second season of the anime, especially if you don’t know much about the manga!”.

These were Akutami’s words about the second season of the anime through the manga’s own publication. But they were not the only ones. He also had words of congratulations for those responsible for the anime: “Congratulations and thanks to all the team members who worked on the first episode of season 2. It’s wonderful to see how the anime has been adapted and such cool scenes and effects were added. As an author I couldn’t feel more blessed.”

Undoubtedly, the good relationship between manga and anime, which is not always the case in this type of series, helps Jujutsu Kaisen to consolidate as one of the anime of the moment and reach more and more audiences.
