Kia has officially inaugurated its new “Unplugged Ground” experience center in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, showcasing the automaker’s latest electric vehicles (EVs) including the much-anticipated EV4.
This modern facility expands on Kia’s offerings since its initial opening in 2021, following the rollout of the EV6, the company’s first dedicated electric vehicle.
The revamped center now reflects Kia’s transformation with new branding and a futuristic design, aimed at enhancing customer interaction with its growing EV lineup.
Kia prepares for the global launch of the EV4
During the launch event, Kia introduced a new generation of vehicles, including the EV4, EV5, and its first electric van, the PV5.
The EV4, which starts at around 41.92 million won (approximately $29,000), boasts an impressive driving range of up to 331 miles in its long-range variant, set to challenge competitors in the increasingly popular EV market.
Prices for Kia’s electric vehicles will range widely, accessible from under $30,000 to upwards of $80,000, aligning with the company’s “EVs for all” strategy.
The experience center features interactive technology designed to engage visitors. Guests can utilize Apple’s mixed reality headset, Vision Pro, and engage with racing simulators, enhancing the overall visitor experience.
They can even virtually experience the advanced driver assistance systems of models like the EV9, providing a glimpse into Kia’s future advancements in automotive technology.
As Kia prepares for the global launch of the EV4 this year in markets such as the U.S. and Europe, industry insiders speculate that the success of this experience center model could lead to similar facilities being established worldwide, furthering the brand’s push for electrification and customer engagement. With Kia’s ambitious plans, the future of electric driving experiences appears bright.
