If there’s something we like more than playing video games, it’s eating. And at Magical Bakery, they promise us the best of both worlds… although we can’t taste the final product in real life.
Today we went to the official presentation of Magical Bakery at the Nintendo offices in Madrid to talk with the team responsible for the game, Superlumen, and to try the game firsthand.
And it has certainly been worth it, as we will see now. Although ideally, we should start by leaving the game’s trailer below these lines so you can get an idea of what this Murcian studio is offering us.
Growing in the world of Magical Baking and bringing glory back to a small bakery
Magical Bakery is a single-player management and cooking game set in an enchanted bakery that sells sweets and cakes of all kinds, but with the small detail that everything revolves around magic.
The goal is to become the ultimate magical pastry chef and prove that you deserve to inherit the magical bakery… although for that, you will have to convince Baba, the owner of the small bakery where we work.
The game encourages players to learn and improve as a baker. That’s why you’ll have to innovate and create new recipes for delicious treats and decorate them with magical sprinkles to solve your customers’ problems, comfort their hearts, or simply brighten their day. The game has much more depth than it seems at first glance.

Superlumen, the Murcian studio behind this cozy game
In the presentation, we were able to talk with Juan Cassinello, Studio Lead of the Murcian team Superlumen, who confirmed that they have high hopes for this beautiful and “cute” game that is releasing on November 7th. It would be the perfect Halloween game, but we’ll have to settle for playing it a week later.
According to Juan, the game has been developed over a year and a half, among other projects for Soedesco, the Dutch publisher that bought them some time ago and with whom they have been working closely ever since. With them, they have the freedom to work on their assignments, but also to propose new adventures. And Magical Bakery is an example of this.
If there is something Superlumen can boast about, it is being a team of young self-taught individuals who, with effort and a lot of work, have managed to carve out a niche in the video game industry. And all from the city of Murcia, which makes it twice as commendable since the industry there is practically nonexistent.
We remind you that Magical Bakery will be released on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store) for a price of $19.99 and later on consoles like PS5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch for $29.99. The release date is November 7, 2024.
