Mattel has a new Masters of the Universe series on the way, a 12-episode entry for the fantasy franchise that follows the January 25, 2024 debut of Netflix’s Masters of the Universe: Revolution. A longer run like that should mean more time in Eternia than the recent animated releases got, with extra space for the ensemble cast, the mythology, and the old rivalries to breathe, even if Mattel still hasn’t shared any plot details. He-Man, Teela, and Skeletor still seem like the likely anchors.
The announcement comes right after Netflix’s Masters of the Universe: Revolution, which premiered on January 25, 2024 as a five-episode sequel to 2021’s Masters of the Universe: Revelation. Kevin Smith returned as showrunner, and the cast included Chris Wood, Mark Hamill, Melissa Benoist, William Shatner, and Keith David. The story gave viewers a Motherboard-powered Skeletor, Prince Adam trying to balance his duties as both King and He-Man, and Teela chasing Snake Magic while Hordak hung over the whole thing.
Five episodes isn’t much for a series like this, so Revolution may have felt short. If you were hoping for a bigger Masters of the Universe story, this new one looks like the one to watch when it arrives.
For now, you can watch Masters of the Universe: Revolution on Netflix, along with the 2D series Tales from Eternia, which launched on YouTube in June 2026, while the new series still doesn’t have a confirmed platform. Amazon MGM’s live-action Masters of the Universe film, directed by Travis Knight and starring Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man, is still set for June 2026, though plot details remain limited.
