Google’s Pixel 11 Pro is out now, with a new Tensor G6 chip, a brighter display, plus a handful of new camera features and software tricks. But if you’re already carrying a Pixel 10 Pro, this looks more like a tune-up than a real reason to switch. Android Authority reports that nearly half of roughly 9,000 readers plan to stick with the Pixel they already have, and in another poll, 58% of Pixel owners said they aren’t upgrading.
Pre-release leaks didn’t do much to change that. Just 8% said those leaks pushed them toward the Pixel 11 Pro. One of the bigger complaints is memory: the base Pixel 11 Pro comes with 12GB of RAM, which is a step down from the 16GB found across the Pixel 10 Pro lineup. If you want 16GB on the new model, you’ll have to spend more and move up to the 512GB version.
Battery size looks mostly the same. The main camera hardware isn’t all that different either. Some users are also hung up on Google dropping the temperature sensor. Even carrier deals offering a free Pixel 11 Pro with a Pixel 10 Pro trade-in haven’t done much to quiet those concerns.
So if you already own a Pixel 10 Pro, the Pixel 11 Pro doesn’t look like a purchase that makes much sense, and the early reviews are landing in pretty much the same place. The Pixel 11 Pro is available now from Google and participating carriers.
