In Star Citizen they have no mercy for any player, especially if they use an exploit for their own benefit. Cloud Imperium Games, the game’s publisher, has reported that over 600 Star Citizen players have been banned, which means their accounts have been suspended.
According to the information obtained, the players were taking advantage of a vulnerability through which objects could be duplicated. So far, everything is “normal”, as this usually happens in many games, but the peculiarity was that they resorted to it to later sell the objects for in-game currency.
A vulnerability has been found in version 3.23.1a, an error that the studio has already fixed to prevent it from happening again.
“Traps and exploits undermine the integrity of our game and the efforts of the sponsors who help us create Star Citizen“, says Will Leverett, senior director. “We take these actions very seriously and assure you that we are continuously developing additional measures against traps and exploits”.
At this moment, Star Citizen has raised over 700 million dollars, an impressive figure.
