The creator of Stardew Valley, Eric ‘ConcernedApe’ Barone, recently confirmed the highly anticipated update 1.7, which has generated great excitement among fans of the game. However, Barone was quick to reassure followers, stating that this update will not affect the development of his next project, Haunted Chocolatier, which was announced nearly four years ago.
Haunted Chocolatier should not suffer any delays
The development of Haunted Chocolatier has progressed slowly, partly because Barone has been working on updates for Stardew Valley all this time. Despite this, Barone committed last year to not return to work on Stardew Valley until completing Haunted Chocolatier. This commitment has led some fans to question whether the new update would interfere with his progress.
Barone responded to fans’ concerns on social media, stating: “My plan is that this will not hinder the development of Haunted Chocolatier.” Although no specific details were provided about the content of update 1.7, it is likely in an early stage of development. Despite the fact that some highly requested features may not be included in this version, Barone has expressed his interest in continuing to update Stardew Valley even in the future, mentioning that he could do so for the next 50 years.
Additionally, Stardew Valley will join the lineup of PlayStation Plus games in September, further increasing its visibility and accessibility for new players. This addition solidifies the game’s reputation as a pillar in the gaming community and its presence will continue to be notable in the current landscape.
