With the disappearance of Gainax, Studio Trigger acquired the rights to ‘Panty & Stocking’, allowing Hiroyuki Imaishi, co-founder of the studio and director of the original series, to take the reins of the project again. Imaishi has also taken charge of the script in collaboration with Hiromi Wakabayashi. As for character design, well-known names like Shigeto Koyama, Sushio, and Masaru Sakamoto, along with the prominent Yoh Yoshinari, have contributed to bringing these iconic characters to life.

The new trailer released recently showcases a psychedelic style characteristic of Studio Trigger that is sure to captivate fans and attract new viewers. The world premiere of ‘New Panty & Stocking’ is scheduled for July 4, 2025, at Anime Expo.
