Compulsion Games has unveiled its new action-adventure video game titled South of Midnight, presented during Microsoft’s Developer Direct event. This title, with an unmistakable stop motion style, promises to take players on a unique experience set in the deep south of the United States, where the protagonist, Hazel, faces the aftermath of a devastating hurricane in the fictional city of Próspero.
A story that immerses us in a narrative of pure magical realism
The revealed trailer shows Hazel and her mother preparing for the arrival of the hurricane, a storm that eventually becomes a cataclysm, sweeping their home away by a mighty river. This event marks the beginning of Hazel’s odyssey in search of her mother, allowing players to immerse themselves in a narrative rich in emotions and challenges.
In addition to the impressive trailer, which includes gameplay scenes, the interaction with a magical creature that transforms the apocalyptic environment into a fantastic experience stands out.
